Churro Cheesecake is a delightful fusion of crispy, cinnamon-sugar churros and creamy cheesecake. This easy-to-make dessert features a flaky crescent dough crust, a rich cheesecake filling, and a crunchy cinnamon topping, making it a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crust:

  • 2 (8-ounce) cans crescent roll dough
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

  3. Make Cheesecake Filling: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

  4. Layer First Dough: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the greased baking dish. Stretch slightly to cover the entire surface.

  5. Add Cheesecake Layer: Evenly spread the cheesecake filling over the dough.

  6. Top with Second Dough: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the cheesecake filling, pressing lightly to seal the edges.

  7. Brush and Sprinkle: Brush melted butter over the top dough layer and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  8. Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

  9. Cool & Serve: Let cool completely before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut clean slices after chilling.
  • Serve with caramel or chocolate drizzle for added sweetness.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
