Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook Pasta: Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté Shrimp: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt & pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Prepare Sauce: In the same pan, melt remaining 1 tbsp butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds). Add chicken broth (or wine), scraping up any bits from the pan. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
4️⃣ Make it Creamy: Pour in heavy cream, stir in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until thickened (3-4 minutes).
5️⃣ Combine: Return shrimp to the pan and toss in cooked pasta. Add lemon juice and parsley. Stir to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
6️⃣ Serve: Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley. Enjoy warm!
